Oberland Mangold is an innovative family-owned company that has been developing and producing high-quality metal substrates, catalysts and flame arresters for a wide range of industrial applications for more than 40 years.

History
About us
Founded in 1968 by Anton Mangold in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Oberland Mangold originally began with the production of snow chains. In the 1980s Anton Mangold recognised the potential of the growing market for exhaust catalysts and in 1985 founded Oberland Mangold GmbH, specialising in metallic catalyst substrates. Our expertise in metalworking, heat treatment and welding technology led to the development of brazed metallic honeycomb structures, which have proven superior to ceramic catalyst substrates.
In 2002 the company moved to Eschenlohe to meet increasing demand. Today we are an internationally active supplier to vehicle manufacturers, coating companies, combined heat and power plants and industry. Our metal substrates stand out for their high flexibility and adaptability in shape, cell count and channel structures.
Through targeted investment in forward-looking technologies such as alkaline electrolysis and innovative thermal management solutions we have expanded our portfolio. These developments not only strengthen our position as a technology leader but also contribute to the energy transition and secure our long-term growth.
